Are you an experienced civil engineering Design Engineer looking for a new challenge? Do you have experience working within the water sector? If so, we may have the right opportunity for you.

Position: Principal Design Engineer

We are seeking a Principal Design Engineer to join a dynamic team working on a range of exciting construction projects. You will play a key role in developing both temporary and permanent works designs, including shoring, foundations, and ground stability analyses, for both tender and contract delivery stages.

Responsibilities include:

1. Providing technical leadership and mentoring junior team members.
2. Managing external design support.
3. Collaborating with clients, internal teams, and external consultants to ensure successful project outcomes and identify new opportunities.
4. Reviewing calculations and technical reports for compliance with standards.
5. Ensuring high-quality design information.
6. Promoting the integration of BIM and CDE processes into projects.
7. Staying updated on advancements in design, digital technology, and software.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering with Chartered status (ICE or equivalent).
• Experience in temporary works design and ground stability analysis.
• Strong technical skills in structural design, geotechnical works, and BIM.
• Excellent communication skills and experience managing design teams.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civils 3D, Revit, Infraworks, and Navisworks.
