We are a diverse team of architects, researchers, and engineers working on innovative solutions to complex security challenges. Leveraging enterprise resources and startup agility, we are developing a greenfield software assurance project.

Work You’ll Do

We are seeking a Security Data Analyst to join our team. You will combine data analysis, security research, and development skills to design and develop a platform capable of analyzing large datasets for security and compliance. Your cybersecurity expertise will help proactively identify and address emerging threats, integrating secure coding practices throughout the development lifecycle.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in software or platform development/engineering, including front end (web), mobile, back end, ad tech, or analytics dataflows.
  • Experience in data management, building automated and scalable platforms for data-intensive applications.
  • Ability to handle large datasets and design scalable, maintainable systems.
  • Strong background in API development with REST or gRPC patterns.
  • Programming skills in Python, Go, Java, or similar languages.
  • Knowledge of data science concepts such as data preparation, exploration, modeling, applicable to structured or unstructured data.
  • Proficiency with data science tools like Jupyter, pandas, matplotlib, seaborn, numpy.
  • Experience with API testing and security tools such as Postman, Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP.
  • Knowledge of database management systems like MySQL.
  • Hands-on experience with security and compliance frameworks and standards.
  • Understanding of performance optimization for mobile apps, including memory, CPU, and network efficiency.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with OCI cloud services.
  • Experience with machine learning or AI in security applications.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA and Confluence.
  • Knowledge of Software Assurance programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect and develop a secure, high-performance platform for ingesting, parsing, and analyzing large volumes of API data stored in MySQL.
  • Collaborate with teams to define and implement data rules and flows, creating an auditable tool.
  • Conduct threat analysis to evaluate and manage security threats and vulnerabilities in data flows.
  • Ensure security by working with architects and security teams to follow best practices for compliance, data privacy, and security standards (OWASP, NIST, ISO-27001, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, FedRAMP).
  • Automate security and compliance controls for continuous monitoring and reporting.
  • Perform MySQL queries to maintain data integrity and consistency.
  • Develop dashboards and reports for stakeholders.
  • Create tools to identify security weaknesses for engineering teams.
  • Stay updated on latest trends, contributing to platform improvements.
  • Document architecture, services, and decisions for internal use and future development.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
