Job summary

DBD International in the United Kingdom is seeking a Principal CS&A Engineer to join our engineering team supporting major nuclear projects. This role delivers high-integrity civil and structural engineering solutions from design to construction and through-life support in a regulated environment.

You will design civil/structural/architectural works, conduct analyses and design reviews, support delivery across design and construction, provide site support and ensure compliance with site licence

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
• Experience delivering civil/structural designs in highly regulated environments (nuclear, defence, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Design & Engineering: Deliver civil, structural, and architectural designs for nuclear facilities, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and safety requirements.
• Technical Assurance: Conduct structural analysis, design reviews, and verification of engineering deliverables to meet nuclear regulatory expectations.
• Project Delivery: Support project planning, interdisciplinary coordination, and timely delivery of CS&A work packages across design and construction phases.
• Construction & Site Support: Provide technical support during construction, including site inspections, responding to RFIs, and resolving design issues.
• Documentation & Compliance: Ensure documentation meets site licence conditions and quality standards.
