Job description

Enhance your PLC Control Systems engineering skills by working on various safety-critical projects as a Control Systems Software Engineer as part of this established defence organisation.

Your role will be to deliver software artefacts whilst working to a full software development lifecycle through process and procedural activities.

About the Role:

• Specify, design and test solutions for PLC control systems and develop PLC software from multiple design formats such as Block Diagrams, Flow Charts or Pseudo Code.
• Validate software designs through analysis and test.
• Produce technical documentation in accordance with company/customer procedures.

About You:

• Degree, HND, HNC or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic engineering or a related discipline.
• Design and integration of large-scale PLC Control Systems
• Proven experience with Siemens or Rockwell PLC systems.
• Experience of Fault Tolerant, High Availability and Safety Integrated PLC Solutions.
• Experience of Industrial Communication protocols and networking standards.

Key Information:

• Role: Control Systems Software Engineer - PLC
• Salary: £53,000–£76,000 Plus Bonus & Benefits
• Location: New Malden, Greater London Area
• Hybrid working: 2-3 days a week on-site and occasional travel to client site(s)
• Eligibility: sole British Citizens due to high level security clearance requirements

You will be successful in this role if you are an experienced control systems/software engineer specialising in PLC control systems and are looking for an opportunity to further your skillset by working on a range of challenging engineering problems.

Due to the nature of work undertaken at our client's site, incumbents of these positions are required to meet special nationality rules and therefore these vacancies are only open to British Citizens.
