Overview

We are looking for a Principal Control & Instrumentation Engineer to join PM Group working for us on a hybrid working arrangement based out of our Manchester office.


Job Title:

Principal Control & Instrumentation Engineer


Location:

Manchester


Responsibilities

As a Principal Control & Instrumentation Engineer, you will be responsible for planning and executing our instrumentation engineering services and solutions with customers, across conceptual, basic, and detailed design engineering phases; and into construction and CQV phases within a genuine multi-disciplinary delivery team.


You will also assist with bids and tenders, as well as provide coaching and mentoring to early-career engineering professionals.


Qualifications
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a related engineering field.
  • Preferably a Chartered Engineer with IET, or working towards it.
  • Thorough experience in control and instrumentation specification & design engineering work.
  • Knowledge of Fieldbus technology (Profibus DP and Modbus RTU).
  • Some experience in programming/configuration of PLC/DCS systems is advantageous.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt, multi-task, and prioritize when necessary.
  • Positive outlook and approachable manner.
