Job summary

AVEVA is seeking a highly experienced technical leader to design and deliver cloud platform capabilities for AVEVA CONNECT Core Services. You will drive architecture decisions across microservices, REST APIs, data design, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code, while guiding development teams toward high-quality delivery.

You will promote modern cloud engineering practices, collaborate with directors and engineers, and apply AI-assisted tooling to improve productivity across AVEVA.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading design and delivery of cloud platform capabilities.
• Strong background in C#/.NET and database design.
• Proven ability to shape architecture and guide engineering decisions.
• Experience with Azure or other cloud platforms; Kubernetes and containers.

Job description

• Reporting to the Director of CONNECT Core Services, you will provide technical leadership for the design and implementation of AVEVA’s cloud platform capabilities using Microsoft Azure. You will work across teams to shape architecture, guide complex technical decisions, and promote modern cloud engineering practices
• Lead the technical design and implementation of secure, resilient cloud platform capabilities for AVEVA CONNECT Core Services
• Guide architecture and engineering decisions across microservices, REST APIs, data design, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code
• Provide technical leadership to development teams, supporting complex problem-solving, design reviews, and delivery quality
• Promote cloud technologies, modern engineering practices, and AI-assisted development tools across AVEVA
• Collaborate with Directors, architects, product teams, and engineering stakeholders to align technical direction with platform and business priorities

This role is suited to a highly experienced technical leader who remains hands‑on, can turn technical vision into delivery, and can help raise engineering standards across a fast‑moving cloud platform environmentExperience with C#/.NET or multiple programming languages, plus a strong understanding of database design, CI/CD, and infrastructure as codeExperience with Microsoft Azure or other cloud platformsStrong design and coding skills, with a reputation for delivering high‑quality technical outcomesTechnical leadership experience, including guiding teams, shaping architecture, or influencing engineering directionExperience developing microservice or service‑oriented architectures and designing REST APIsExperience designing and delivering complex enterprise or cloud platform solutionsExperience with Angular or equivalent web development frameworksExperience with Kubernetes, containers, or cloud‑native application platformsExperience using AI‑assisted coding tools to improve engineering productivity and software qualityStrong communication, ownership, adaptability, and curiosity, with the ability to motivate others and lead through technical influence
