Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde invites applications for a Principal Clinical Scientist to join the Royal Alexandra Hospital, Paisley. The post supports the Clinical Biochemistry service across Clyde Sector sites, involving reporting, liaison, R&D, teaching and audit.

Advanced knowledge and interpretive skills are required, with training support to complete FRCPath studies where applicable. Applicants must be HCPC registered as a Clinical Scientist and hold an MSc in Clinical Biochemistry; FRCPath

Qualifications

• HCPC registered as a Clinical Scientist.
• MSc or equivalent in Clinical Biochemistry.
• FRCPath Part 1 obtained or in progress.
• AfC 8a eligibility/annex 21 consideration for those pursuing exam.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all aspects of the department including reporting, clinical liaison, research and development, teaching and audit.
