An established industry player is seeking a Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist to join their Perinatal Mental Health Service. Job summary
We are currently looking to recruit a Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist to work across the Perinatal Mental Health Service teams in Rotherham and Doncaster. The post will be split between Rotherham and Doncaster, offering 0.3wte to each team.
The Perinatal Mental Health Service is a specialist service for women with mental health problems around the time of having a baby, and their families. This is an exciting leadership role in the service.
You will need to be an experienced, suitably qualified, and registered Clinical Psychologist with HCPC or a Psychotherapist registered with the appropriate body (BABCP, UKCP, HCPC), with a passion for perinatal mental health care. You should have the experience, skills, and competencies outlined in the job description and person specification, and be able to work autonomously and collaboratively with partner agencies.
The post holder will be part of the leadership team, involved in developing psychological care pathways within these teams. This role offers the opportunity to work with multidisciplinary teams focused on delivering high-quality care, and to join a supportive, compassionate team of Psychological Professions across Rotherham and Doncaster.
Main duties of the job
This role is central to the service's leadership team, responsible for delivering on the NHS Long Term Plan and local commissioning objectives for Perinatal Mental Health Services. We seek a psychological leader who aligns with the Trust’s values and can lead through uncertainty.
You will lead service development related to psychological and therapeutic work, including stakeholder engagement, designing and evaluating trauma-informed care pathways, delivering training, supervising staff, and developing staffing models and recruitment strategies.
Our service is flexible to meet the needs of women and families, with appointments offered at various locations and tailored care plans.
There are leadership activities requiring regular attendance at the team base. Your application should demonstrate your understanding of these requirements. The Trust provides policies and practices to ensure your safety at work.
You will receive supervision from the Community Directorate Lead for Psychological Professions.
