Principal Civil Engineer, Water Engineer Your new company Hays are currently recruiting for a Principal Civil Engineer. We are working in partnership with a world-leading design, engineering and project management organisation dedicated to engineering a better future for everyone. The company is committed to delivering end-to-end service to their clients across the whole lifecycle, from Capital, Consulting, Decommissioning, Engineering and Design, Operations and Maintenance, Project and Program management up to Project Delivery.

Your new role The Principal Civil Water Engineer will play a crucial role in all facets of water and wastewater treatment, storage, supply, and collection systems, which are vital for UK infrastructure. Additionally, you will have the chance to work on iconic engineering projects both domestically and internationally.Key Responsibilities: Lead a team to perform technical design work in accordance with relevant design standards and codes, ensuring high-quality outcomes. Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and contribute to bid proposals.

Effectively manage time and budgets to meet key project milestones and schedules. Collaborate closely with teams in the UK and abroad to deliver integrated design solutions. Comply with quality assurance standards in design.

What you'll need to succeed To be successful in the Principal Civil Water Engineering role, our client requires: Chartered Civil Engineer. Experience in leading design delivery, including multidisciplinary design. Sound knowledge of water and/or wastewater treatment, storage solutions, hydraulics, water supply and wastewater collection systems and familiarity with current UK design standards and working practices.

Proficiency in designing appropriate digital analysis packages, following local and guidance. eg HADES, Infoworks, EPANET. What you'll get in return Our client is offering an attractive Annual Salary negotiable on experience.
