Mott MacDonald is seeking a Principal Civil / Structural Engineer for the Energy Unit's Nuclear division. This role involves mentoring junior staff, leading design activities, and enhancing opportunities within the Defence Nuclear sector.

The ideal candidate will hold chartered status, possess extensive experience in concrete and steel design, and be well-versed in British Standards. The role offers a permanent position with a full-time contract and includes various health and wellbeing benefits.

Qualifications

• Chartership with the Institution of Civil or Structural Engineers and extensive postgraduate experience.
• Detailed understanding of Finite Element Analysis and software.
• Experience of leading and managing projects from concept to completion.

Responsabilités

• Conduct analysis with appropriate verification and validation.
• Review analysis of other members of staff.
• Develop the skills of junior members of staff.
• Produce and review design calculations supporting analysis.
• Produce high quality documentation tailored to the specific stage of project completion.
