Job summary
BakerHicks in Bristol seeks a Principal Civil or Structural Engineer to establish and lead our Civil & Structural capability in the region. Based in our Bristol office, you will drive technically challenging projects across sectors while mentoring junior staff.
You will bring Chartered status and a proven track record in design consultancy, leading complex projects, reviewing designs and guiding multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications
- Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer with CEng MICE or MIStructE.
- Proven experience delivering complex design consultancy projects.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary design teams and technical reviews.
- Strong understanding of technical standards, quality processes and governance.
- Excellent communication, leadership and mentoring abilities.
- SC clearance or eligibility to obtain clearance.
- Full clean UK driving licence.
Responsibilities
- Support the establishment and development of the Civil & Structural capability in Bristol.
- Act as a technical lead and reviewer across projects and disciplines.
- Lead or contribute to multidisciplinary design teams.
- Support tenders, fee estimates and project delivery.
