Job summary

Aldwych Consulting in Norwich is seeking a Principal / Associate Civil Engineer to lead complex civil infrastructure projects across the UK and Europe. You will shape technical direction, mentor engineers and manage delivery from feasibility through to detailed design.

The role offers ownership of projects, strong client relationships and growth within a collaborative, design-led consultancy. Salary is competitive and experience-based, with opportunities for senior progression.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• Proven civil infrastructure design experience
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent preferred
• Strong report writing and presentation skills
• Experience with highways, drainage and flood risk design

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee complex civil infrastructure projects across the UK and Europe
• Provide technical leadership across highways, drainage, flood risk, utilities and infrastructure design
• Ensure quality, programme and commercial performance of projects
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and lead multidisciplinary teams
• Review reports, drawings, specifications and detailed design packages
• Mentor engineers and support team development
• Contribute to bids, proposals and business development opportunities
• Ensure compliance with standards and best practice
