Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior or Principal Civil Engineer to join our growing Civil Engineering team. You will lead design and delivery across diverse infrastructure projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve integrated and sustainable outcomes.

You will mentor engineers, contribute to innovation, and support opportunities that create value for clients and communities, while operating within a flexible hybrid working model.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil engineering design and project delivery.
• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered or Incorporated status with ICE or potential to become chartered within 12 months.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary project environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

We are looking for a motivated and capable Senior or Principal Civil Engineer to join our growing Civil Engineering team, delivering innovative and sustainable solutions across major infrastructure, transportation, energy, water, aviation, and development projects.

We offer hybrid working which involves 3 days per week being office/site based. This position can be based from any of our major offices of London Nova, Epsom, Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, or Glasgow. It can also be based in our regional offices of Leeds, Newcastle, Peterborough, Exeter, Derby, Cardiff, or Swansea.

Your role

The role offers broad project exposure, technical development, and clear opportunities for progression within a collaborative and growing team.

You will:

About you

We’re interested in people who are technically strong, commercially aware and genuinely enjoy collaborative working.

You’ll ideally bring:

• Experience in civil engineering design and project delivery.
• A degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered or Incorporated status with Institute of Civil Engineers or an equivalent institution OR extensive experience and the ability to become chartered with the ICE within 12 months.
• Experience working within multidisciplinary project environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
