Job summary

RGB is seeking a Principal Civil Engineer in Cardiff to lead civils and drainage design for a diverse portfolio, including commercial, energy storage, water and renewable projects across South Wales and beyond.

You will deliver designs using AutoCAD, Civil 3D and MicroDrainage/Flow, manage 278/38/104 agreements, and liaise with engineers and stakeholders. This office-based role suits an experienced engineer with strong leadership and delivery capabilities.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in potable, surface and foul water design.
• Proficient in 3D design and modelling with MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage.
• Knowledge of Water Authority approvals (S104/S106).
• Line management experience within a civils team.

Responsibilities

• Produce infrastructure and drainage designs using AutoCAD, Civil 3D and MicroDrainage/Flow.
• Deliver projects for commercial, energy storage, water and renewable sectors.
• Manage Section Agreements (278/38/104) and prepare technical drawings.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Line manage and mentor junior engineers within the civils team.
