Job summary

RGB Recruitment Ltd in Cardiff is seeking a Principal Civil Engineer to join a progressive consultancy. You will lead infrastructure and drainage designs using AutoCAD, Civil 3D and MicroDrainage/Flow, delivering projects across South Wales and beyond.

The role offers a competitive £50,000–£65,000 salary (DOE), 24 days annual leave, pension contributions and private healthcare. Line management and collaboration with engineers and stakeholders are key parts of the job.

Qualifications

• Experience with potable, surface and foul water design and construction.
• Proficient in 3D design/modelling using MicroDrainage and/or InfoDrainage.
• Knowledge of Water Authority approval processes (S104, S106).
• Involvement with SuDS Approval Body processes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver infrastructure and drainage designs using AutoCAD, Civil 3D and MicroDrainage/Flow.
• Lead delivery of commercial, battery energy storage, water and renewable energy schemes across South Wales and beyond.
• Prepare and manage Section Agreements (278/38/104) and technical drawings.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Line management within the wider team.
