Job Opportunity: Civil Engineer at AFRY

AFRY’s Energy Division in the UK is seeking an experienced civil engineer to join our expanding Thermal and Renewable Energy team.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing technical and economic feasibility studies, technology assessments, and due diligence reviews.
• Supporting project stages from front-end engineering design (FEED) to operation and maintenance.
• Preparing specifications, technical reports, and design deliverables.
• Identifying and mitigating health & safety, sustainability, and commercial risks.
• Contributing to business development and supporting junior engineers.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2:1 degree in civil engineering.
• Chartered Engineer status.
• Knowledge of UK energy sector codes and standards (Eurocodes, British Standards).
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Fluency in business English.

Desirable experience:

• Structural assessment, site investigations, CAD, BIM.
