Job summary

Proftech Talent is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join a growing multidisciplinary team delivering water-sector projects in Manchester. The role offers hybrid working and opportunities to advance toward chartership.

Required experience includes up to 5 years in civil design, UK water industry exposure, and strong IT/digital design capability. The ideal candidate will own design tasks and coordinate with other disciplines to deliver robust solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree, HND or significant practical experience required.
• Experience in hydraulic calculations and profiles preferred.
• UK water industry experience is desirable.
• PRINCIples of engineering drawing and standards knowledge expected.

Responsibilities

• Produce safe, compliant design deliverables for water sector projects.
• Prepare civil calculations, drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and support CAD technicians.
• Record design changes and contribute to design risk assessments.
