Job summary

Aldwych Consulting in London is seeking a Principal Civil Design Engineer to lead residential infrastructure projects, with hybrid working (2 days in the office per week) and a salary of £58k-£65k.

You will act as technical lead on residential sector projects, delivering flood risk advice, designing highways and drainage, and producing detailed drawings and technical docs. Opportunity for Chartered status support.

Qualifications

• A degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in the design and delivery of residential infrastructure.
• Strong skills in Civil 3D, Site 3D and Causeway Flow.
• Ability to lead projects, mentor junior staff, and work independently.
• Experience with flood risk assessments and SuDS.

Responsibilities

• Deliver flood risk advice to support planning applications (FRA).
• Design strategic highways and drainage infrastructure.
• Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications and technical docs.
• Utilise Civil 3D, Site 3D and Causeway Flow in design work.
• Design and submit SuDS schemes for adoption or long-term maintenance.

What You'll Do

• Designing strategic highways and drainage infrastructure
• Preparing detailed design drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
• Utilising Civil 3D, Site 3D, and Causeway Flow
• Designing and submitting SuDS schemes for adoption and/or long-term maintenance

What You'll Need
