SoCode in Cambridge is seeking a Principal Software Developer to join a global industrial software leader and help shape the core platform.

The role is hybrid with 50% remote work, based out of North Cambridge and moving to a new office with parking conveniences for commuting. Salary ranges £80,000–£90,000 plus benefits.

Qualifications

• A STEM degree or equivalent industry experience.
• A track record of delivering high-quality software solutions with technical leadership and architectural impact.
• Strong object-oriented design skills with maintainability, testability, and reuse.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservice/service-oriented design.
• Professional experience with C#/.NET (or similar).
• Solid communication skills in collaborative engineering environments.

Principal Software Developer | Cambridge | Hybrid | Up to £90,000 plus benefits

I am currently working with a Global leader in industrial software who are looking for a Principal Software Developer to join a strong and talented team of developers working on their core platform.

You will be working with internal stakeholders and engineering teams to understand requirements, shape system architecture, and deliver scalable platform capabilities.

You’ll need the following skills and experience:

You will be working out of their North Cambridge based office on a hybrid basis (50% WFH), they will be moving into a new office space soon which offers ample parking and easy access whether you drive or take public transport. The position pays a salary of £80,000 to £90,000 plus benefits.

• Microsoft Azure services: Cosmos DB, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Service Bus, Event Hubs, Application Insights.
• Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Web development with Angular or a modern equivalent.
