Job summary

Astute's Power Team is partnered with a market-leading Energy company to recruit for Chief (Principal) C&I Engineer to support with DCS, failsafe, PLCs and cyber security across their fleet of Energy from Waste Power Stations.

The role is hybrid with national travel and offers a starting salary of c.£78,000 plus £6,500 car allowance, overtime and up to 10% bonus, plus private medical and benefits.

Qualifications

• A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering subject.
• A formal Health and Safety qualification such as IOSH or NEBOSH.
• A full UK driving licence is a necessity.
• A functional safety certificate (TUV or ISA) will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Set standards across sites for planned and unplanned maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Carry out plant inspections and area safety inspections.
• Work with central engineering for continuous improvement to minimise HS risks.
• Be SME for ATEX, functional safety, DCS, OT and cyber security.
• Support fleet during outages and system upgrades.
• Provide technical support for DCS, PLC and SCADA systems (logic, I/O, interfaces).
• Develop and maintain C&I specifications, standards and documentation.
• Support the functional safety lifecycle per IEC 61511.
