Job summary

Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading energy company to recruit a Lead EC&I Strategy Engineer to be based at its Kent or in North London. The role offers a salary of up to £75,000 plus medical and a bonus.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, Controls & Instrumentation), or HNC/HND with significant relevant industry experience.
• Strong experience in EC&I systems within power generation, CCGT, heavy industry, manufacturing, or asset-intensive environments.
• Good understanding of EC&I equipment, asset management, and maintenance best practices.
• Proven experience managing projects, outages, or maintenance activities in complex industrial environments.
• Experience in contract management, supplier performance, and commercial risk management.
• APMP qualification or equivalent project management experience is desirable.
• NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent health and safety qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop governance, risk, and compliance strategies for EC&E plant systems.
• Lead projects and outages from concept to completion, meeting safety, quality, schedule, cost targets.
• Manage supplier performance and contract strategies.
• Develop and optimise maintenance strategies for EC&I assets.
• Drive continuous improvement through root cause analysis and audits.
• Ensure robust change management and engineering governance.
• Promote a strong health and safety culture across the team.
• Support tender evaluations and contractor management.
