Job summary

engstaff-in in Cardiff is recruiting an experienced Principal / Associate Bridge Engineer to join our highways and infrastructure team. You will lead the delivery of bridge and highway structures projects, from design through inspections, assessments, strengthening and feasible studies across a varied portfolio.

You will also lead and mentor a team of six engineers and technicians, take ownership of project delivery, and manage client relationships to grow the regional bridges capability.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in bridge design, assessment and maintenance.
• Knowledge of relevant standards and codes is required.
• Proven track record delivering complex bridge projects.

Really excited to be working & recruiting a great opportunity with our international clients for an experienced Principal / Associate Bridge Engineer to join their growing highways and infrastructure team in Cardiff.

The role:

• Lead the delivery of bridge & highway structures projects, covering design, inspections, assessments, strengthening, repair and feasibility.
• Lead and mentor a team of six engineers/technicians, supporting technical development and helping grow the regional bridges capability.
• Take ownership of project delivery and client relationships, working across a varied portfolio of bridges, culverts and retaining walls.

What we're looking for:

• Chartered Civil/Structural Engineer, or close to achieving Chartership.
• Strong experience across bridge design, assessment and maintenance.
• Knowledge of DMRB, MCDHW and Eurocodes, with experience across steel and concrete structures.
