Job summary

DWS Group in London is seeking a Principal Auditor to lead internal audits across the group with a focus on risk-based testing and robust reporting. You will work with global teams, draft comprehensive audit findings, and contribute to continuous improvement of controls and processes.

The role requires strong English communication, a relevant degree, and experience in asset management or financial services. Travel to other locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Audit experience at a reputable asset manager, financial services firm, or audit practice.
• MBA or degree in Business Administration or Economics; CFA/ CIA/ FRM or equivalent is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of investment management value chain and risk management practices.
• Understanding of traditional and alternative asset management products.
• Independent, proactive work style with strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• First project management experience.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Willingness to learn, assertive, and able to work under pressure.
• Strong team orientation and collaboration with stakeholders.
• Experience leveraging AI tools to improve productivity and ensure responsible data use.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of the internal control environment.
• Participate in local and global audit engagements, primarily in London/UK, with ad hoc projects as needed.
• Draft high-quality audit reports and support issue tracking and closure.
• Support risk-based audit planning through continuous monitoring and risk evaluation.
• Develop and maintain consultative relationships with the audit team and stakeholders.
• Communicate audit results effectively at all levels of the organization.
• The primary place of work is London/UK.
• Occasional business travel will be required.
