Job Description

Our team is involved in water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including drainage design, SuDS, and surface water management, serving clients across the UK and internationally.

We are seeking a Principal / Associate Hydraulic Modeller to lead hydraulic modelling frameworks within our Water and Wastewater Team in Peterborough, working with a leading UK Water Company.

Your responsibilities:

1. Lead Storm Overflows Discharge Reduction Plans, flood alleviation, and environmental projects.
2. Manage model building, maintenance, and verification projects.
3. Develop and implement wastewater catchment strategies.
4. Ensure quality and standards compliance of outputs.
5. Drive continuous improvement in project delivery.
6. Support project managers and contribute to tender responses and fee estimates.
7. Supervise staff development and provide technical guidance.
8. Lead technical innovation initiatives and improvement workgroups.

Qualifications and skills:

1. Understanding of UK Water Industry and regulatory issues.
2. Proven experience in delivering high-quality technical projects.
3. Expertise in InfoWorks ICM and ICM Exchange.
4. Strong skills in hydraulic modelling, catchment planning, and solutions development.
5. Ability to review and assure quality of work.
6. Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
7. Proficiency in MS 365 applications, PowerBI, SharePoint; experience with FME, Optimatics, Ruby is advantageous.
8. Chartered status with ICE or CIWEM is preferred.
