Job summary

SCC is seeking a Principal Architect - Technical to work with clients on strategic goals, delivering architecture and governance services and driving consultancy opportunities. You will engage with sales colleagues to shape engagements across multiple verticals and ensure effective IT services and business change.

The role requires eligibility for security clearance, operates within a hybrid model based in London, and offers a strong salary package with generous benefits and volunteering days.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a professional services architecture role with a presales/client consulting component.
• Experience presenting technical solutions to both tech and non-tech audiences, up to board level.
• Broad knowledge of end-to-end business operating models and processes; capable in at least one industry sector.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers, understand business challenges, translate into technology requirements.
• Advise on technology choices and options.
• Act as single point of contact for consultative presales engagements and coordinate pre-sales activities.
• Develop customer proposals, statements of work, cost models and proof of concept engagements.
• Participate in bid responses as part of a bid team.
• Deliver consultancy engagements across the stack, including strategies, roadmaps, business cases, as-is/to-be assessments, and high-level architecture blueprints.
• Collaborate with delivery teams to hand over presales opportunities clearly.
• Develop SCC’s consultancy propositions and collateral.
• Drive best practice, standards and principles to support transformation and maturity.
