About the Role

Location: Bristol, Leicester or Plymouth + Hybrid Working Arrangements (two days per week in the office)

Compensation: £75,000 - £80,000

Role Type: Full time / Permanent

As a Principal Appian Developer, you'll lead a team of dedicated developers to deliver technical solutions for customers on time and to the expected quality standards, under the guidance of the Systems Development Manager.

Responsibilities
  1. Work with multiple workflow applications, undertake requirements reviews, technical design, modelling, software development, unit testing, and deployment of new applications.
  2. Ensure software development adheres to IT quality, plan, and procedures.
  3. Use good design and implementation methodologies for efficient software development.
  4. Perform unit testing to verify software performance against requirements.
  5. Participate in workshops, reviews, stand-ups, and communicate progress to project stakeholders.
  6. Prepare comprehensive documentation for completed applications.
Work Arrangements

This role is full-time, 35 hours per week, with hybrid working: days in the office and three days working from home. Agile working principles may be applied, and flexible working arrangements such as part-time, condensed hours, and job sharing are considered.

Essential Experience
  1. Proven development experience, particularly with BPM software applications like Appian.
  2. Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycles (SDLC), including waterfall, iterative, and agile approaches.
  3. Experience with development tools such as IDEs and source code management.
  4. Business process modelling using UML and BPMN techniques.
Qualifications

We value diverse backgrounds and are more interested in your experience and willingness to learn than formal education. The successful candidate must be a UK national eligible for Security Check (SC) clearance.
