The Methodist Church in Britain is seeking a permanent Principal Accountant to join the Financial Services team. You will advise the Director of Resources and Head of Financial Services on capital and revenue budgets and final accounts.

The role requires collaboration with finance and non-finance colleagues on cross‑department projects, and offers flexitime with no core hours, generous leave, an occupational pension scheme, training, and a hybrid working arrangement two days a week after

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant is required.
• Experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver key projects.
• Ability to communicate complex financial information to finance and non-finance colleagues.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and monitor capital and revenue budgets for a range of services
• Prepare final accounts for a range of services
• Advise the Director of Resources and Head of Financial Services on the impact of government legislation changes on accounting issues
• Work in a multi-disciplinary team to deliver key projects
• Communicate complex financial information to finance and non-finance colleagues, working together towards shared outcomes
