Job summary

Ribble Valley Borough Council is seeking a Principal Accountant in Clitheroe, Lancashire. You will manage capital and revenue budgets and final accounts and advise leadership on budgetary impacts and legislative changes.

The role requires a qualified accountant (CIPFA or CCAB) with strong communication and cross-team collaboration skills. Hybrid working is available after induction, with two days remote per week for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with experience in budgeting and final accounts.
• Ability to communicate complex financial information to non-finance staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor capital and revenue budgets and final accounts.
• Provide advice to the Director of Resources on Government legislation changes.
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver projects.
