Penguin Recruitment is seeking a Principal Geotechnical Engineer for our Birmingham office. You will lead ground investigations, manage projects from tender to delivery, and produce expert geotechnical reports while mentoring junior engineers.

We value strong communication with clients and collaboration with design teams on Geotechnical Design projects to deliver robust solutions across infrastructure and development schemes.

Qualifications

• Must hold a relevant degree in geotechnical/geo-environmental discipline.
• Significant geotechnical or geo-environmental experience is required.
• Strong ability to manage projects, lead teams and write technical reports.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Principal Geotechnical Engineer to join a well-established UK engineering consultancy delivering specialist geo-environmental and ground investigation solutions across a wide range of infrastructure, commercial and residential projects. Based in Birmingham, you'll become part of a collaborative team known for technical excellence and innovative problem-solving.

As a Principal Geotechnical Engineer, you'll be responsible for:

• Leading ground investigations and geotechnical assessments.
• Managing projects from tender through to successful delivery.
• Producing high-quality technical reports and providing expert advice.
• Mentoring junior engineers and supporting their development.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Working with the design team on Geotechnical Design projects
