Job summary

Fleet Education Services is seeking tutors to provide face-to-face 1:1 and small group tuition in and around St Albans, Hemel and Welwyn. You will work during school hours, teaching at pupils' homes or local venues with flexible hours and weekly pay through PAYE.

We require a bachelor’s degree (Level 6), at least 6 months of UK teaching/tutoring experience, and an updated DBS (or willingness to obtain one).

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months UK teaching or tutoring experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (Level 6) qualification.
• Eligibility to live and work in the UK with no restrictions on working hours.
• Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Commitment to safeguarding and supporting learners with SEN, SEMH, and other complex needs.

Responsibilities

• Designing and delivering personalised lessons that engage, inspire, and help learners progress.
• Monitoring learner progress and providing constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
• Collaborating with parents, guardians, and schools to ensure learner academic success.
• Maintaining accurate session records through our virtual learning platform.

Then join Fleet Education Services as a Primary Tutor and support students in and around St Albans (Hemel, Welwyn) through 1:1 and small group tuition. We offer flexible working hours, weekly pay, CPD training, and a dedicated team to support you while you tutor with us.

We need passionate educators to meet growing demand for face-to-face tuition, delivered during school hours, typically in the pupil’s home or at a local community venue.

What You’ll Need To Be a Tutor

Please Note

• This role is flexible agency work with no minimum-hours commitment, and you will be free to choose the assignments that work for you, paid via PAYE.
• Any tuition placements you undertake with us will be covered by our insurance.
• Shortlisted candidates will be required to complete our safer recruitment process, designed with KCSIE in mind (Keeping Children Safe in Education).
