Responsibilities

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons across the primary curriculum.
  • Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning and support progress.
  • Assist in the preparation and organisation of classroom resources and learning activities.
  • Help create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Support pupils’ academic, social, emotional, and personal development.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and model appropriate attitudes and interactions.
  • Provide additional support for pupils with varying abilities and learning needs.
  • Promote pupil confidence, independence, and engagement in learning.
  • Assist with classroom management and daily routines.
  • Support the implementation of intervention programmes where required.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, carers, and colleagues.
  • Contribute to educational visits, enrichment activities, and school events.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
  • Promote safeguarding and pupil welfare at all times.
  • Uphold the school’s values and commitment to high standards of teaching and learning.

justteachers are working in partnership with a friendly and supportive primary school in Thetford who are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis from September.
