Zest Education is seeking a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant with SEN experience to join a welcoming Newcastle-under-Lyme school on a long-term basis. You will support pupils across the primary range, deliver tailored support for SEND needs, and work closely with teachers to promote inclusive learning and social development.

Ideal candidates have recent school-based experience, strong communication skills, and a patient, adaptable approach to helping children reach their potential.

Competenze

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND, including autism, ADHD, speech and language needs.
• Experience in school, childcare or youth support setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, caring and adaptable approach.

Mansioni

• Support pupils in whole-class, small-group and 1:1 learning activities.
• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons.
• Provide tailored support for pupils with SEND, adapting approaches to meet individual needs.
• Encourage positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing and pupil engagement.
• Help pupils develop confidence, independence and social skills.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff, the SENCO and other professionals to implement learning and support plans.
• Monitor and record pupil progress where required.
• Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
