Vision for Education are seeking an empathetic Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Ashton-under-Lyne primary school in Tameside. You will support learning, assist with emotional regulation, and promote positive classroom engagement alongside class teachers and SEN staff.

Ideal candidates have experience in primary settings or a TA qualification and familiarity with SEN/SEMH needs. The role offers excellent weekly PAYE pay, long-term stability, and ongoing CPD opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in primary school or educational setting.
• Experience with SEN/SEND/ASC/ADHD/SEMH using trauma-informed approaches.
• Patience, adaptability and ability to deliver targeted interventions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with pupils, staff and parents.
• Collaborative, reliable and proactive approach to pupil wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Support learning alongside class teachers and SEN staff.
• Facilitate high-quality learning and emotional regulation in the primary phase.
• Deliver targeted interventions and small-group support.
• Foster inclusive environments where every child feels valued.
• Promote pupil wellbeing and autonomy.
