Job summary

Academics are currently seeking experienced Primary Teaching Assistants for temporary short and long-term opportunities across Winsford and the surrounding Cheshire West area. You will support teachers, prepare the classroom for lessons, and help learners progress within the UK National Curriculum.

Applicants should have Level 2/3 TA qualifications, UK school experience, strong communication and behaviour management skills, and be willing to travel to partnership schools by 8:30am with short

Qualifications

• Must have Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Experience of working with children in a primary school or UK educational setting.
• Strong communication skills and ability to motivate in the classroom.
• Strong behaviour management skills with ability to support learners in EYFS/KS1/KS2.
• Willingness to travel to Winsford and surrounding Cheshire West schools by 8:30am with short notice.
• GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above, or Functional Skills Level 2.
• Familiar with the UK National Curriculum.
• Enhanced DBS registered with Update Service, or willing to apply (cost applies).

Responsibilities

• Support the teacher with delivery of the lesson.
• Prepare the classroom for lessons, such as setting up equipment.
• Manage behaviour and engage learners in their learning.
• Work with learners 1-2-1 or in small groups.
