Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is recruiting a General Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Blackheath, South East London. You will support the class teacher with daily activities and help create an inclusive classroom.

Ideal candidates hold Level 2 or 3 TA qualification, have DBS on Update Service, and are available five days a week. The role offers a supportive team's environment and opportunities for development.

Qualifications

• Hold a minimum Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Be available to work 5 days per week, Monday to Friday.
• Have an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered on the Update Service.
• Have previous experience supporting children in a primary school setting.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude.
• Be reliable, enthusiastic and committed to supporting children's learning.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher with day-to-day classroom activities and lesson delivery.
• Work with pupils individually and in small groups to support their learning and development.
• Encourage positive behaviour, independence and confidence.
• Help create an engaging, safe and inclusive classroom environment.
• Support pupils with varying abilities and additional learning needs.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to ensure pupils receive the best possible education.
