Step Teachers Ltd is seeking a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to support pupils across various primary settings in Norfolk. The role offers flexible short-term and long-term placements, with opportunities to work across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 as needed.

Ideal candidates will be patient, engaging, and committed to safeguarding, with strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to different schools.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children in a primary school or educational setting.
• Understanding strategies to support learning across EYFS, KS1, or KS2.
• Patient, nurturing, and approachable manner.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils across the primary age range.
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging and accessible learning activities.
• Support pupils with varying needs, including SEND, when required.
• Promote positive behaviour and follow school behaviour policies.
• Help pupils develop confidence, independence, and positive learning habits.
• Prepare classroom resources and assist with lesson organisation.
• Monitor pupil progress and share observations with teaching staff.
• Support daily routines and contribute to wider school life during longer-term placements.
