Job summary

Key-Stage Teacher Supply is seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to work across Primary Schools in Lancaster and South Cumbria. You will support children's learning, development and wellbeing in varied classroom settings.

Responsibilities include in-class support, small group and 1:1 work, monitoring progress, fostering a safe inclusive environment and promoting positive behaviour strategies. DBS checks encouraged.

Qualifications

• Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 1–3) is preferred but not essential.
• Experience working with primary aged children (ideally in a school setting).
• Confidence supporting pupils with a range of learning needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to get one).

Responsibilities

• Provide in-class support to teachers and pupils across all years in Primary Schools.
• Work with small groups and 1:1 to reinforce learning and offer tailored support.
• Monitor and report on pupil progress.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment.
• Promote and support positive behaviour strategies across the classroom.
