Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join our team in Port Talbot and surrounding areas. You will support pupils across primary key stages, work with the class teacher, and help create a positive, inclusive learning environment.

We offer full-time and flexible day-to-day supply roles with ongoing support from friendly consultants, plus CPD access and a refer-a-friend scheme. Weekly PAYE is provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience working with children.
• Experience can be voluntary, school-based, or from transferable roles (youth work, care, coaching, etc.).
• A passion for supporting children's learning and development.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons
• Providing one-to-one or small group support to pupils
• Helping to create a positive inclusive and nurturing learning environment
• Assisting with classroom preparation, resources, and activities
• Encouraging pupil participation and promoting positive behaviour
