Job summary

Milk Education in Sheffield is seeking a proactive Teaching Assistant for a primary school role. You will support pupils across the classroom, help with learning activities, and assist with social, emotional, and academic development while working closely with the class teacher.

Ideal candidates have UK school experience and Level 2/3 TA qualifications. DBS update or willingness to obtain one is required; a flexible approach and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous UK school-based experience is essential
• Experience working within a primary school setting
• Strong safeguarding and child protection understanding
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Patient, adaptable and supportive approach
• Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualifications desirable, but relevant UK school experience also considered

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with learning across the primary curriculum
• Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning
• Support pupils' social, emotional and academic development
• Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff
• Provide additional support to pupils who may have SEND or additional learning needs
