Job summary

Milk Education are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic primary school in Sheffield. Role: Teaching Assistant
Pay: £107.71 - £117 per day, depending on experience
Start Date: September 2026

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to create a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
  • Working with individuals and small groups to support learning
  • Providing additional support to pupils with SEND where required
  • Helping pupils develop their confidence, independence and social skills
  • Supporting classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment
  • Assisting with phonics, reading, writing and maths activities
  • Working closely with teachers and other support staff
  • Supporting the wider school community where needed
The Ideal Candidate

We would love to hear from Teaching Assistants who have:

  • Previous UK school-based experience
  • A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or relevant experience
  • A genuine passion for working with children
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A calm, patient and nurturing approach
  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
