Job summary

Randstad UK is seeking a highly motivated Primary Teaching Assistant to support children across EYFS, KS1 and KS2. You will assist teachers with daily tasks, lead small group interventions, and provide 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs in diverse primary settings across Surrey.

Ideal candidates bring experience with primary-aged children, strong English and maths foundations, and a patient, proactive approach.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with primary-aged children in schools, nurseries, sports coaching, or youth work.
• Patient, proactive and empathetic approach to primary education.
• Strong communication skills and confident foundational English and Maths.
• An Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
• Right to work in the UK and easy access to primary schools in Surrey.

We are seeking dedicated and nurturing Primary Teaching Assistants to join vibrant primary schools across surrey and surrounding areas. Whether you are an experienced Teaching Assistant, a graduate looking to build classroom experience before pursuing QTS, or someone with a background in early years, childcare, or care work, we have flexible day-to-day supply and long-term contracts available.

We cover all primary key stages, allowing you to work in your preferred year groups: Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage 1 (KS1), and Key Stage 2 (KS2).
