Castle Education are working closely with a supportive and community-focused primary school in Thirsk, who are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team from September for the full academic year.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people.
• Caring, patient and encouraging.
• Adaptable to the needs of different pupils.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Passionate about supporting children’s education.
• Reliable, enthusiastic and ready to get stuck in.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across KS1 and KS2.
• Work closely with teachers to support classroom activities and learning.
• Provide small group and 1:1 support where needed.
• Help create a welcoming, inclusive and engaging classroom environment.
• Support pupils with their emotional wellbeing, confidence and development.
• Encourage children to achieve their full potential both academically and personally.
