Primary Teaching Assistant - Special Educational Needs Support

Axcis is working with a wonderful primary school in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, seeking a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to support students with special educational needs. This role involves supporting KS1 and KS2 students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, ensuring they receive an engaging and supportive learning experience.

The Opportunity:

1. To become a Primary Teaching Assistant
2. Support students with special educational needs
3. £90 - £105 per day, depending on skills and experience
4. Term Time Only
5. Location: Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire
6. Start ASAP until the end of the academic year
7. Working hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
8. Full-time and part-time positions available

Key Responsibilities:

1. Support students 1:1 or in small groups with various special educational needs
2. Follow individual care plans and attend to specific needs
3. Assist students inside and outside the classroom to promote engagement and participation
4. Support students with learning disabilities, including nonverbal students, those with limited speech, and challenging behaviors
