Job summary

Academics is seeking a Primary Teaching Assistant to support children in the Retford area. You will work across schools, providing 1:1 and small group support and helping to implement creative activities aligned to the EYFS/KS1/KS2 curriculum.

Hours run 8.15am to 3.45pm with a focus on safeguarding and positive pupil development. A DBS check and willingness to train are preferred, with pay reflective of experience.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children within a primary classroom setting ideally 6 months or more.
• A Level 2 or 3 Qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (Desirable).
• An enhanced DBS certificate or be willing to process a new one.
• A 'can do' attitude.
• A personable and nurturing approach.
• Willingness to partake in relevant education and training.
• The ability to commute across the area of Retford

Responsibilities

Do you have a natural flare for supporting children within Primary Education? Could you be a successful Primary Teaching Assistant?

Primary school's across Retford, Nottinghamshire and surrounding areas are searching for ambitious and dedicated primary teaching assistant's to support children with their learning and to ensure a positive and happy environment for them to thrive in.

The clients that Academics work with as an education agency, boast lovely rural settings with great outdoor space for education and training. The staff all work to a team ethos and they work to help build and support each other.

What would working as a Primary Teaching Assistant in Retford entail?

• Working hours of 8.15am to 3.45pm
• Supporting children on both a 1:1 and group basis
• Implementing creative ideas to bring children on course
• Having knowledge of the EYFS, KS1 or KS2 curriculum
• Adhering to the school safeguarding policy and ensuring the safety of all pupils in your care
• Adhering to the school behaviour policy

• Rate of pay between £92.56 to £100.00 per day (Inclusive of holiday pay and dependent upon experience and qualifications).
