Primary Teaching Assistant
Location: Eastbourne
Hours: Full-time
Pay: £89 – £100 per day
Start Date: Immediate

We are currently looking to appoint a Primary Teaching Assistant to join one of our welcoming partner primary schools in Eastbourne. This is a full-time position offering an immediate start and a chance to make a real impact in the classroom. You’ll be working closely with the class teacher to support the learning and development of pupils, helping to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.

This role will include a mix of general classroom support, small group work, and some 1:1 intervention where needed. Experience within primary education is ideal, but we are equally open to hearing from adaptable, enthusiastic individuals from childcare or youth work backgrounds.

To be successful in this role, it is desirable if you:
· Have experience supporting children within a primary school or similar setting
· Have supported pupils with additional needs including autism, ADHD, or SEMH
· Understand how to work with pupils following EHCPs or specific support plans
· Can help create an engaging and safe learning environment
· Are calm, patient, and confident in behaviour support strategies
· Are adaptable and proactive, able to follow the lead of the teacher while offering your own insight and initiative

To work with GSL Education as a Teaching Assistant, you should:
· Have the right to work in the UK
· Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years
· Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
