Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Redcar is seeking an experienced Year 3/4 Teacher to join a supportive primary school. You will deliver engaging lessons in line with KS2, manage classrooms effectively, and support pupils with challenging behaviour.

The role is full-time, term-time only, with daily rate dependent on experience and hours from 8:30am to 3:30pm. You must hold QTS and have a DBS with Update Service or be willing to obtain one.

Qualifications

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching in a UK primary school, preferably Key Stage 2.
  • Proven ability to support pupils with challenging behaviour.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • DBS check with Update Service (or willingness to obtain).

Are you an experienced and resilient Primary Teacher looking for your next opportunity?

We are currently seeking a confident and dedicated Year 3/4 Teacher to join a supportive primary school in Redcar. This role is ideal for a teacher with strong classroom management skills and proven experience working with pupils who can display challenging behaviour. The successful candidate will be passionate about creating an engaging learning environment while maintaining high expectations for behaviour and achievement.

As a Year 3/4 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons, supporting pupils' academic progress, and fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum
  • Assessing, monitoring, and reporting on pupil progress
  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively and consistently
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
  • Supporting pupils with a range of learning and behavioural needs
  • Creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment
  • Working closely with senior leaders, teaching assistants, and external professionals where required
To be considered for this role, you must:
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have recent experience teaching within a UK primary school, ideally in Key Stage 2
  • Have proven experience supporting and managing pupils with challenging behaviour
  • Demonstrate confidence, resilience, and excellent classroom management skills
  • Be committed to raising attainment and supporting pupil wellbeing
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one
