Job summary

Teaching Vacancies is seeking a Primary Teacher to deliver high-quality lessons across the primary curriculum and support pupils’ social and emotional wellbeing. You will collaborate with parents and colleagues in a forward-thinking community, open to both Early Career Teachers and experienced practitioners.

You will contribute to safeguarding and professional development while maintaining strong classroom management and a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
• Experience in primary teaching desirable.
• Commitment to safeguarding and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Teaching & Planning: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons across the primary curriculum.
• Assessment & Targets: Assess, record, and report on pupil progress and attainment.
• Pastoral Care: Support pupils’ wellbeing and social development.
• Communication: Engage with parents and carers and coordinate with school staff.
• Professional Development: Participate in INSET and appraisal processes.
• Environment & Safeguarding: Maintain discipline and safeguard pupils on/off site.
• Examinations & Assessment: Prepare pupils for statutory assessments and record results.
• Wider Contribution: Contribute to curriculum development and school improvement.
• Administration & Cover: Manage attendance, cover for absent staff when needed.
