Responsibilities

As a Primary Supply Teacher, your key duties will include:

• Delivering engaging and effective lessons across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2 (depending on your preference and experience)
• Following pre-set lesson plans and adapting teaching methods to suit varying learner needs
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Supporting pupils’ social and emotional development
• Providing feedback to the school’s teaching staff after each placement
• Arriving punctually and prepared, maintaining professionalism in every school you attend

Qualifications

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Essential

Degree in Education or a relevant subject – Required

Recent classroom experience (within the last 2 years preferred)

A clear and up-to-date Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one)

️ Excellent communication and organisational skills

️ Adaptability and the ability to manage change in a fast-paced environment

Driving licence and own transport – beneficial, especially for rural placements
