Job description

We are looking for a passionate, qualified primary school teacher to take on an exciting role at our secondary academy.

In addition to academic success, we focus on and take pride in our students' behaviour. We aim for high achievement in an environment based on rewards, not sanctions. Working closely with our teaching staff, our caring and experienced pastoral team is always available to support our students through their secondary school journey.

You will embody our vision and values, role-modelting exceptional professional behaviours.

Why us?

At Co-op Academy Leeds, we pride ourselves on being a welcoming, nurturing, and diverse community. Our commitment is to provide an ambitious and inspirational education that enables our young people to achieve exceptional outcomes.

Our academy offers a broad range of opportunities both inside and outside the classroom, preparing students for their futures and helping them grow into compassionate and responsible citizens.

As a proud member of the Co-op Academies Trust, the 'Ways of Being' are integrated into every aspect of our academy and community. We set high expectations for staff and students, fostering a culture built on mutual trust and respect. Our respectful, calm, and productive environment allows everyone to thrive and enjoy working and learning together.

All our values are rooted in the principles of the Co-op Group, guiding our behaviours.

  • Self-help: We aim to do things for ourselves in the right way and at the right time.
  • Self-responsibility: Everyone should act responsibly within the academy and the local community. We take responsibility for our own learning and strive to be independent learners.
  • Equality: We celebrate our multicultural environment, treating each other with respect and ensuring equal opportunities for success.
  • Equity: We recognize and reward individual achievements fairly to encourage all forms of success.
  • Democracy: We contribute ideas to help make the academy a success.
