Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a Primary Teacher to cover KS1 at a mainstream Primary School in Bristol. The role offers short-term, long-term, part-time and full-time contracts with daily rates of £145–£230. Start is ASAP and the school aims to inspire confidence and enthusiasm in pupils.

You will deliver engaging KS1 lessons, manage classrooms effectively, and contribute to a supportive learning environment. QTS (or ECTs) and UK primary experience are welcomed.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification with UK classroom experience.
• Strong knowledge of KS1 curriculum and assessment.
• Excellent classroom management and behaviour skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver full class teaching across KS1 with engaging lessons.
• Create and assess lessons to support progress.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and safety.
• Collaborate with school staff and parents as needed.

The school provides a welcoming learning environment where pupils across Key Stage 1 / KS1 are encouraged to develop their confidence, independence and enthusiasm for learning.

The school is looking for a Primary Teacher to work across KS1, with opportunities available across short-term, long-term, part-time and full-time contracts. The successful Primary Teacher will take responsibility for full class teaching, delivering engaging lessons across the KS1 curriculum while maintaining high standards of teaching and classroom management.

The successful Primary Teacher will have:

• QTS (ECTs are also welcomed to apply)


• Experience teaching within a UK Primary School


• Sound knowledge of the KS1 Primary Curriculum


• Excellent classroom management


• Strong communication and organisational skills


• A positive and adaptable approach to teaching
